When attempting to plan your wedding, there are a number of different things that will need to be planned and designed. I like to start with the wedding table centerpieces, since they’re such an important part of the wedding décor. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you can jump right into the process. The truth of the matter is that a number of things absolutely have to come first. Once you finally make it to the centerpieces, you’ll already have a good idea of some of the things that you want to incorporate. Below, I have listed some helpful information that will be able to provide you with more insight.
Things That Come First
As mentioned above, there are a few things that need to be sorted away first, before you can get to these items. I truthfully believe that it is best to set a date, choose a venue and select a theme. Once you’ve gotten all of these items out of the way, I recommend jumping to the centerpieces. Once you’re able to choose the centerpieces, you will be able to match the tablecloths and runners to these items perfectly. This will provide you with more harmony and a better overall décor.
Consider Doing It Yourself
If you want to be able to take complete control over the overall outcome of your centerpiece, you will definitely want to take the time to do it yourself. Although this might be a little difficult and time consuming, it can also be plenty of fun. Truthfully, you will be able to benefit tremendously, by taking this route. If you’re going to DIY, you shouldn’t necessarily do it on your own. Instead, you will want to consider hooking up with some friends and family members. These individuals will be able to provide you with help and entertainment, while you work together on this project.
Remember that it is entirely possible to bond with your significant other, while designing and building a beautiful centerpiece. This is undoubtedly a highly beneficial opportunity that should not be ignored and passed by! Take this opportunity to further your relationship. At the same time, it will also ensure that both of you receive the centerpiece that you’re looking for! As long as you are happy as a couple with the finalized centerpiece, your guests will likely feel the same way and your wedding will be a brilliant success.
If you are like me, I absolutely love weddings, because they are romantic and take me back to the days, when I wed my spouse, which by the way was 20+ years ago. Technology has come a long way, since that time and let me tell you about my special day at my nephew’s wedding.
The entire wedding venue was decorated to perfection, but what truly amazed me were the fishbowl centerpieces. I could not believe my eyes, when I saw the little goldfish floating around in the water, just happy as can be.
Fishbowls were sitting in the middle of a beautiful, orange and yellow rose floral ring. These colors were perfect, because they brought out the two shiny goldfish. Everyone knows that fish can alter a person’s mood, because they are so calming, which definitely worked for the bride and groom, because they were as calm, as cucumbers.
Making It More Attractive With Table Runners
If you want to be able to make your table centerpiece even more attractive, there is one thing that can help. All you need to do is make sure that you use the right tablecloths and runners. When used together, these things can work exceptionally well. Of course, it is vital to choose runners and tablecloth that work perfectly with your centerpiece and its colors.
When trying to bring more attention to your centerpiece, I find it is very helpful to use a much smaller runner. Don’t use one that will extend the entire length of the table. Instead, you will want to ensure that it is much shorter. The runner should be placed in the center of the table. Make sure that there is a sufficient amount of space on both sides. Once this is done, you can set the centerpiece in the center. After this, it will be much more attractive and more difficult to ignore.
If you want to be able to make sure that your wedding table centerpieces are entirely attractive and beautiful, you will want to ensure that they’re interactive! Make sure that your guests will be forced to interact with your centerpiece in one way or another. If they’re forced to do this, they will not be able to ignore this elaborate display. Over the years, I have come up with an assortment of interactive centerpieces and you will be able to do the same, as long as you use your own creativity and imagination.
If this is something that peaks your interest, you will want to make sure to choose something excellent, such as alcohol or candies, for your centerpiece. It is highly likely that your guests will be overly eager to get their hands on these items. Therefore, they’ll rush right over and take a look. As long as the container and the area around these edibles and drinks are beautiful, your guests will love it and you can smile knowing you have succeeded.
A wine centerpiece is definitely a new idea that is not utilized very often, as a wedding centerpiece. This is a very affordable DIY project that only requires a few supplies including:
• Bottle of Chardonnay
• 2” Pink Ribbon
• Large Clear, Glass Flat Bowl
• 6 White Votive Candles
• 6 Clear Glass Votive Candle holders
The first step of assembling this centerpiece is to tie the ribbon onto the top of the wine bottle and set it aside for later. You will want to weave the flowers together, so they are designed in the shape of a circle, be sure to attach them together with green floral wire, if necessary, so they do not come apart. Place the candles into the candle holders and set them aside for later use, as well.
Take the large bowl, fill it with ice, and then set the wine bottle into the center of it. Place the bowl in the center of the floral ring, so it appears to be nestled amid the flowers. Arrange the candle holders all the way around the display, so they look uniformed.
You have completed your beautiful centerpieces and the great thing about this arrangement is you will be able to make a toast with the cold wine.
Wedding Cake Centerpiece
If you worked diligently with a professional cake designer to develop a beautiful wedding cake that you want to show off, you should consider making it your main wedding centerpiece. You should develop a wedding cake table for this display, because you want to have easy access to it for the cake cutting ceremony. Decorate the table with a satin white table cloth, tulle, and place the cake in the center of the table. You can toss rose petals around the cake, so the centerpiece looks more elegant.
You can always use clear glass cylinder candle holders filled with water and rose petals for the guests’ tables. This will balance out the décor, so that everything looks more uniformed.
DIY Wedding Booth
There is nothing more fun and exciting than a wedding booth. Everyone will be jumping to pose in front of your handcrafted creation. This is definitely a great opportunity for the videographer to capture everyone’s image on camera. You do not need to spend tons of money on this project to make it a focal point of your wedding. As a matter of fact, you may get by with only spending around $100 on your wedding booth.
One idea that you can take advantage of is a rustic wedding booth. Just use 4 pieces of scrap plank for this project. Cut the planks into different lengths, so they look more rustic and misplaced. Nail them onto a 6’ 2 x 2 and then hammer it into the ground. Now for the fun part, just use white shoe polish to write “PHOTO BOOTH” on the top plank and whatever you want to on the other planks. Everyone will flock to your rustic wedding booth to have their picture taken in front of it.
You can also create handmade chalkboard signs and fringed tissue paper backdrops, so everyone can gather in front of them to have their photo snapped. Be sure to act silly, when you are having your photo taken, because everyone else will follow in sequence.
At the end of the day, there is an enormous array of possibilities and you will want to consider experimenting with each and every one of them. By doing this, you will not be able to fail, because you’ll be able to find the right wedding table centerpieces for your upcoming wedding. Once you’ve find something that places a smile on your face, you’ll know it and you will have found the centerpiece for you!
